I'm so extremely nervous about this new adventure, but I've decided to throw caution to the wind and jump in head first. I have grown up in an environment where people make cards for each other. "Encouragement" cards. They're awesome. I'll get a card from a friend and it'll be a combination of scrapbook paper, or magazine finds, or anything else that someone will think looks good. And it always does. These homemade cards are incredible. I give them out too; for years now I have been making individual cards to give to friends and loved ones. One day I had a roommate who wanted to throw an Arbonne "Healthy Living" Party. I don't have time to totally indulge in what that is, but give it a quick google search and you'll see. Anyways, I didn't want to hand-make 20 individual cards, so I decided to try something new. I downloaded a software program and began playing around with its different features. After watching some how-to youtube videos, I eventually learned a few things and came up with this design (address and phone # crossed out):
I was so proud with how it turned out and so thrilled by being able to create something like that, that I kept playing with the software. I played around with scanning my own handwriting and watercolor creations and eventually came up with (what is now) the first line of Leah Renee Studio greeting cards:
I have been blown away by the amazing support of friends and family from the very beginning of this journey. Seriously, I would be so insecure and afraid of the public opinion to do anything with my passion if it wasn't for them. I have since then started my online shop and blog as a way to get the word out there. Leah Renee Studio greeting cards can now be found on the Spring 2015 University of Georgia Couture A La Cart around campus and online at mkt.com/leahreneestudio.
As a celebration of my newfound passion and adventure, I wanted to share with you all a free printable of one of the first Leah Renee Studio creations (it's also my favorite!).
